A day in pajamas (Works for me Wednesday)
My hero has been traveling a lot lately for work and us girls have been thinking of all kinds of ways to stay productive and busy while daddy's away. For me though, once in a while I need to step back from goals, lists, and homemaking duties to "smell the roses" as my grammy would say; so one day last week I declared it "Pajama Day"!

We did spend all day in our pjs, made crafts, played with gobs of playdough, painted, read several books, and took a wonderful afternoon nap (all of us!). We ate mainly snacks like apples, string cheese, crackers and peanutbutter and then enjoyed warm pancakes and bacon for supper. We watched a "Little House on the Prairie" episode and a "Miss Pattycake video," for Alisa. We put on Psalty Praise CD and danced around the house, laughing the entire time! It was the kind of day where I let almost everything go, including the laundry and my entire to-do-list.

I have found that once in a while it's incredibly refreshing and very special to let all normal responsibilities go and just enjoy each other. Yes, a pajama party day with Savannah and Alisa works for me!

Not a bad way to spend a day once in a while. My kids are older now, but they will still recount fondly the times we did goofy little things like that. (o:

What a wonderful time to spend just having fun with your girls! :) I am so glad you were able to set aside "adult duties" to have some fun "mommy time" with the girls!
