I want to post a quick Marriage Monday – Honor Your Husband Challenge update. Again, thank you Christine for reminding us ladies to honor our sweet husbands and to become the godly wives we are called to be!I shared two weeks ago that I was going through a spiritual battle in my mind. The great news is that through prayer (your prayers too! Thank you.), asking the Lord to guard my mind and heart, and taking every thought captive; me and Jesus won!!! As my husband always says, we are on the winning team and it’s so true!
My goals for this week are to continue with my past goals (it takes 20 days to form a habit, right?) and to add a new one. That is, to be more playful and flirtatious with Tony. I have found that I get so focused on my “to do list”, our precious daughters, homemaking, etc., etc. that I forget to just “have fun” with my husband! I’m not talking about sexual intimacy in this regard, but an overall joyful, playful attitude toward him. I can tell he absolutely loves when I run into his arms for extra-no-reason-at-all hugs and kisses, when I send him silly, romantic text messages or emails, and when I am a bit flirtatious with him. I want him to “enjoy the wife of his youth” in every way and to know I need him… With that said, I better get off the Internet and start working on my goal for this week!

What a wonderful reminder for us all! After 12 years of marriage and 4 little boys to run after Im afraid being playful and flirtatious falls last in my To do's LOL We really do need to be more mindful of this and hubbys needs :-)
Have a blessed week!
I liked reading this post.
Thanks for the reminder to "have fun" with our husbands. I know it is so easy to get caught up with all of the busy-ness of running the house.
Welcome back to you too!
Yes, I'm busy with laundry too.
I'm feeling much better and pretty much caught up at home after today.
Hugs, Lori
Praying for your marriage to be filled with blessings.
Oh that is such a good goal! I need to work on this too...it IS so easy to lose track of the flirtatiousness in the midst of the laundry, kids, cooking, etc. Thanks for the reminder!
Blessings,
Joy

flirting is one of my best traits!!!
thanks for the reminder... I also want my husband to remember the wife of his youth. 25 years ago when we married we were both 18 years old!
Blessings to you and your husband!

What a wonderful goal Sheri! And, welcome home as well! I enjoyed reading your posts and in catching up with your blog. I also wanted to tell you I tagged you...if you want to participate. No pressure to do so though :) Blessings!
Great post and so true. I firmly believe it is the "little" things that count for so much.
Have a blessed week.

Excellent reminder, Sheri. Our duties, responsibilities and chores shouldn't be neglected, of course, but we also shouldn't forget about spending special time with our precious men! I hope I remember this when I'm married for several years ;)
Excellent! I know that my husband enjoys the same things.
Great new goal! Everyday duties can really rob us of the playfulness we used to have!
